Jean-Bernard Etienne was born in Gonaives, Haiti in 1952. He is mainly known as JB Etienne. At a very early age, he acquired a passion for painting and drawing. His work is the result of inspiration and innate gifts, this expressionist artist turns to an idealized style to describe the innocence of childhood according to Gérald Alexis, art critic and author of the art book of “ Peintres Haitiens” .
